Floors

I'm going to have to do something with these dollhouse floors.  This flat paint is getting marked and stained each time the kids touch it.

This is a spaghetti sauce fingerprint:

Then you can see some of the scuffs from them dragging furniture around.

You can see the walls that I have wallpapered a bit already.  So fun.  I can't wait to reveal them all.  I had some problems with having enough paper to go all around the rooms, so I had to change some of my plans.  It still looks good.

Anyway, I'm thinking of making wooden floor planks out of basswood strips.  It will be a lot of work, but I think it will turn out pretty slick.  I want to stain them light gray...I wonder how hard that will be?
